Compositions

A great day today the entire score to the film has been completed and it sounds awesome. The finale theme is more uplifting than Topgun.
It's a funny movie but I suggest you bring some tissues as well.

In other news Deja Voodoo our band are going on a world tour playing in Austin on the 15th and 16th of March. New York on the 21st and London on the 27th. More dates to be announced.

DEVIL NEARLY DONE

Hello

'The Devil Dared Me To' is so god damn close to being finished. Currently the sound designers, graders, ADRers, composers and various associtaed dudes are working round the clock. Every day this turd gets more and more polished. By the time 'Devil' screens in Austin it's going to be the smoothest shiniest turd in all the world. The lucky few who get in to those premiere screenings at the almo downtown should wear sun glasses to protect their eyeballs from the intence glare.

In other news work has begun on 'The Devil Dared Me To' soundtrack album. We have got tracks from 'Head Like A Hole', Sticky Filth, The Mockers and of course the mighty 'Deja Voodoo'.

Oh yeah that's right this just to hand. The band is going to SXSW also. We are playing at an Austin bar called 'Beerland' on march the 18th.

To show how appropriate it is that we are playing at place called 'Beerland' here is the video to our song 'Beers'

cheers matt

EXHIBITORS UNHINGED

The film was shown to domestic exhibitors in New Zealand on friday at a top secret location. Unlike the test screening where 200 people went bugshit crazy for the film this one was going to a lot different. Five guys sitting in a small theatrette is not conducive for the ultimate DEVIL experience. Apart from being sober, they were there to give the film a close scrutiny to its full market potential. We told them the market potential was only limited by those who don't have eyes - but they still needed to see the proof. We took a photo of two of them for prosperity.

Matt and Chris on 20/20

A couple of clips for you guys and girls to check out while Chris and Matt begin the grade and sound mix on DEVIL.

The first is from the TV Show 20/20. They asked if hard earned tax payer money should go toward making a twisted feature film like DEVIL that contains sick and anti social behaviour and lots of body fluids. The public voted and 90% said 'YES' they bloody well should. And they have.

Here is Chris and Matt with their band Deja Voodoo with their hit 'Can't Do What I Wanna Do' a ode to dudes wanting to have sex with hot girls but finding out that they weren't even born in the 80s. Obviously it isn't autobiographical. Ahem.

BLOWING STUFF UP

Matt and Chris both agreed that no one would come see THE DEVIL DARED ME TO unless 'lots of stuff blows up real good' - so the script was written to accomodate their penchant for destruction. Here is a photo of an explosion that nearly took out the historic Auckland Harbour Bridge.

HELL YEAH - THE DEVIL TAKES ON GEORGE BUSH

The film has just been invited to the cool film festival South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, TX and the whole team is bloody stoked. It looks like quite a big Devil team will be making the journey to Austin to celebrate this historic moment. This blog will record the events of the folks behind the feature film 'The Devil Dared Me To'.

Creators Chris Stapp and Matt Heath will be dropping in to keep us posted on the films progress as well as just shooting the sh*t. Come back regularly and you'll witness what happens when a New Zealand pub rock band makes a awesome movie about a stuntman called Randy Cambell.
